A cone dripper in borosilicate with a walnut collar, which is there so you can pick it up full without a cloth. Sixty degree cone with tall ribs so the paper does not seal against the wall — that seal is the reason a brew stalls, and it is almost always the dripper rather than the grind.

Materials
Borosilicate glass cone with an oiled walnut collar and a leather tie. Borosilicate rather than ceramic because it does not need preheating for as long and does not crack when it does.
Care
Glass goes in the dishwasher, the collar does not — slide it off first. Coffee oils will haze the glass over time; a soak in a brewer cleaner takes it back to clear.
